A great day out in Mid Wales with a new Toyota Land Cruiser. The trip included the Lake Brianne, Strata Florida, Nant-y-Arran plus the Clearwen Reservoir Link road and Dam, finishing in the Elan Valley near Rhayader

Great weekend trip in North Wales. Shame we had to miss out Happy Valley due to a voluntary closure but think we made up for it in the Dyfnant Forest. Picture from White Stone, Wayfarer, Corwen Carwash, Coed-y-brenin and Dyfnant Forest.

Took a quick visit to Dunsfold Land Rover while passing. Famous for the Dunsfold Collection containing ever rare, wield and wonderful Land Rover ever made, unfortunately not much on show today other than a nice Series 1 and a rather weird looking Late Discovery Sport/Velar prototype.

The off-road route is a fun and challenging loop around Surrey, which most 4×4 vehicles can handle.

It starts near Chertsey and takes in the Devils Punch Bowl and Hogs Back before finishing close to Aldershot. The traffic was pretty light especially near the M25, and there were not too many people out and about, which was one of the original ideas behind the Friday trips.

The end of our African journey

Well it’s taken a while but some of our videos from our trans-African adventure are finally finished. These two are from a 3 day trip into the world’s oldest desert, the Namib in Namibia, which forms part of the Namib-Naukluft National Park. Diamond ghost towns, shipwrecks, some of the world’s largest dunes were some of the amazing highlights!

It was almost the end of our African journey from Bristol to Cape Town and we joined an organised trip into the mesmerising desert. There were more than a few moments when we thought we’d be leaving Russell behind as the going was seriously tough. In some of the shots you can see the damage to his shocks – that was hitting a pot hole in Sudan’s Darfur region after being shot at!
