These trips involve driving routes that include unsealed or unclassified country roads (UCR) and byways open to all traffic. (BOATs). All routes are on legal highways. UCRs and BOATs are commonly known as green lanes. Many of these lanes are only accessible by a motor vehicle with offroad capabilities.

Many of these greenlanes would not be suitable to be driven with a single vehicle. Driving in small groups is a safer alternative.
