Great to be back on the plain. Meet by the ever efficient Range Marshals on arrival at the meeting point. Good to have a friendly chat and get the latest update on the plain.
Tracks were relatively dry and easy given the dry weather, but had some fun in the few muddier places around the German Village and various parts of the Bulford range. Lots of military activity on the day, but nothing to concern us and no need to use plan B routes to avoid and red flags. Discovery struggled a little on the way home from lack of power, turned out to have got a bit to much mud in the intercooler which needed removing for a careful wash to clear without damage.
Had a fun day out at the Newbury sort out. Good chance to clear out the garage plus make some money back on the Disco we broke for it's 200tdi engine. A real swelter of a day. Very glad we took the Gazebo for a bit of shade.
The day started early and it was funny to see all the other Landie nuts out on the M4 at 7am. All sorts of vehicles with very odd shaped loads making their way to Newbury. Spent what we earned on a new set of tyres for the Series, but these were well overdue so worth a bit of graft. Many thanks must go to Paul for all his help, especially pulling a decent trailer out the hat at the last minute.
