This is one of the toughest lanes in Yorkshire. Its not on our usual route, as its a bit tough and damaging for a standard vehicle, but we were able to drive this at the end of the trip to let Tim test out his new Ashcroft locker (which I have recently fitted for him). Its in the dark because we wanted to finish the route with the rest of the customers first, although as you can see in the video, quite a few hung on to watch the action.
Great run though the Cotswolds. A bit scratchy in places but 3 good fords, great scenery and some good lanes.
Awesome crossing of the Tavy Tidal Ford after a night of heavy rain. What the video does not show was we were watching Salmon trying to leap up the wear while waiting for the last vehicles to cross. This was a first for me. Never seen anything like it in the UK before. Made the appearance of a Kingfisher seem like an ordinary everyday occurrence.
It really goes to show that is not all about the off road action. While we like to find good off-roading our Adventure Tours really get you out into place you would have no reason to go otherwise and we get to see some amazing site and visit some very undiscovered places.

Tyre repair after a sidewall puncture using tyre string. This repair saved the day for the Disco3 as continuing on with the spare fitted would have been difficult given no one else in the group would have had a spare to fit (great advantage of D1s and 90/110 all having the same wheel fitting). This repair lasted a further day and a half an meant the spare was still in reserve should anything else happen. Highly recommend anyone with tubeless tyres to carry one of these kits. Very cost effective on ebay:

Since the Paris Dakar on at the moment, I thought this was current. I happened to be passing the Porsche Museum in Stuttgart (as you do) and I saw this. Paris Dakar winning 959 4x4 Porsche (and an off road prep'd Cayenne). Impressive bits of kit. Porsche museum well worth a look if you are ever in Stuttgart.
Photo's from Dave. Unfortunately completed the journey home on an AA truck due to a front wheel working lose - still - saved some Diesel!!!
Here's a video from the latest trip to Wales. The 3 Dutch Land Rovers were really up for some fun - so we went to find some of the hard stuff!!!. Not all of these lanes are on our normal route, but at 4x4 Adventures Tours we are willing to take you where others wouldn't dare, provided you and your vehicle are up for it.
