Finally got around to editing the Video from mid wales. Great trip saw us doing Strata Florida backwards for a change. This mean going down the bomb hole rather than up it. Also included Brechfa forest which is probably my favorite single day of laning and some fun in the Fords around Builth Wells
Photos from The Ridgeway and Marlborough Downs Trip. Very Very dry. Not a puddle in sight. Never seen it so dry; even when I have driven the route in August. Fantastic spring scenery and views, through the heart of Southern England
Interesting comparison of 2 Discovery 2's on the same hill in Devon. Same vehicles, neither has Centre Diff lock fitted just TC, ones on AT tyres, one on Mud tyres, one on standard suspension, one on a 4 inch lift, and different drivers....
And just to show how good the Discovery's are, then here is a fairly standard Defender 90 on the same section...
This is a short video shot out of the back of Andy's truck of the last couple of lanes on day 2 of the Mid Wales trip - Brachfa forest section.
The best fun you can have in a 4x4 - with your boots on - Dune driving at Erg Chebbi - Morocco

Compilation video of some of the best bits of action caught on camera over the summer
Salisbury Plain Tour September 2011
Great to be back on the plain. Meet by the ever efficient Range Marshals on arrival at the meeting point. Good to have a friendly chat and get the latest update on the plain.
Tracks were relatively dry and easy given the dry weather, but had some fun in the few muddier places around the German Village and various parts of the Bulford range. Lots of military activity on the day, but nothing to concern us and no need to use plan B routes to avoid and red flags. Discovery struggled a little on the way home from lack of power, turned out to have got a bit to much mud in the intercooler which needed removing for a careful wash to clear without damage.
Newbury Sort out
Had a fun day out at the Newbury sort out. Good chance to clear out the garage plus make some money back on the Disco we broke for it's 200tdi engine. A real swelter of a day. Very glad we took the Gazebo for a bit of shade.
The day started early and it was funny to see all the other Landie nuts out on the M4 at 7am. All sorts of vehicles with very odd shaped loads making their way to Newbury. Spent what we earned on a new set of tyres for the Series, but these were well overdue so worth a bit of graft. Many thanks must go to Paul for all his help, especially pulling a decent trailer out the hat at the last minute.
